Big topic this week:
Finding your “why.”
In my book, Poker with Presence, (https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B088CQDTM9) I wrote about the importance of connecting deeply with the most important reasons why you play this game.
It could be money, camaraderie, or anything else.
But either way, you’ve got to find it. If you don’t, this game will chew you up over time.
For me, it’s always been about expressing my creativity through poker, as well as having an avenue to compete and try my hardest against other people doing the same.
When I stay connected to those reasons, I win––a lot.
But when I forget those deeper reasons and start to focus on how much I can win, the money just doesn’t show up in the same way.
Funny how that works.
To reach your goals in poker, you’ve got to go deep into the biggest, most important reasons why you love it so much––and then stay connected to those reasons every time you play.
Your wallet, and your soul, will both thank you.
If you’re wanting some help finding and connecting with that deep, internal feeling of “why” you play poker, you might enjoy my free guided audio, The Ultimate Warmup. It’s designed to quickly get you into a state of complete connection with why you play––not just in your head, but also feeling that connection through your whole nervous system.
